how to sew bra cups to put into hand sewn bras?
The ones similar to lightly lined bras that have a preformed sort of shape to them.
A lot of those are "molded" foam that's been heated and pressed into that shape. If there's a way to do the pressing at home, economically, I don't know of it. Ask people who make fancy costumes and props about how they make three-dimensional props.
There's plenty of other ways to sew some shape into a cup though. If you have small cups, then you could use a stiff fabric sandwiched together with a softer layer, curl it into the approximate shape, and tack it together with padstitching. You could cut darts in a circle and draw the darts together to make a curved cup. You could sew together two separate pieces of foam or soft felt-like material and have a seam instead of a dart.
